This study aimed to investigate the role of behavioral brain systems, belief in a just world, and loneliness in predicting corona anxiety. This study was correlational and the statistical population consisted of parents referred to the Department of Family Education Sessions, Child Counseling, and Golestan Counseling Center in Gorgan, where 100 people were selected by the convenience sampling method. Data collection was done by using Alizadeh Fard’s Corona Anxiety Inventory, Carver and White’s behavioral brain Systems questionnaire, Russell’s Loneliness Questionnaire, and Salton and Douglas’ Belief in a Fair World Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression tests. Findings showed that behavioral brain systems, belief in a fair world, and feeling lonely have a significant relationship with corona anxiety (p<0.05). Behavioral brain systems, belief in a fair world and loneliness also can predict corona anxiety (p<0.001). According to the findings of the present study, managers, and officials of healthcare systems, taking into account cognitive characteristics, can play an important role in controlling the mental health of people during the corona epidemic.
